There are so many alternatives that you will be able to just pick according your taste and budget. But here are some suggestions from the management...

1. Budget (HUF 400-600/main course): "Kifozde" indicates the most inexpensive warm food class of restaurant. "Bufe" also identifies budget restaurants. Chinese and Turkish places are very popular in Hungary, and you will find many of them in the city with reasonable prices. To be sure though, this is Chinese cuisine with a Hungarian interpretation.

2. Medium (HUF 1000/main course) IX. Raday utca (street).

3. Top-flight. (HUF 2500+/main course) Andrassy utca, and some of Liszt F. square.

The management highly recommends cafes and sweet shops in general- these are a unique specialty of Hungary. Try Ruszwurm (Szentharomsag utca 7.) in the Castle District, or in Pest, Lukacs (Andrassy utca 70. This is the nicest café in Budapest in our opinion) or Frolich- kosher café (VII. Dob utca 22.).
