Getting Around

BKV is the Budapest Public Transportation Company and provides fairly good service. It operates with 3 underground metro lines, several buses, trams, trolleybuses, the HEV (an above-ground suburban railway), and a system of night buses.
(Though it is possible, traveling without a ticket is highly risky. Enforcement is strict.)

Ticket options:
     1. Single ticket valid only for one ride: HUF 300. (If you buy 10 you get one free.)
     2. Tourist ticket valid for all transportation within 3 days HUF 3850.
     3. Ticket for 7 days valid for all transportation HUF 4600.
